Please read these terms carefully. By activating any Rowan Cloud service you confirm you have read and agree to all terms below.
These terms govern your use of Rowan Cloud services. Key points: use services lawfully, don't run prohibited content, pay on time, and understand our refund policy. Activating a service = agreement to all terms.
All services provided by Rowan Cloud may be used for lawful purposes only. Users are prohibited from transmitting, storing, or presenting any information, data, or material in violation of any United Kingdom federal, state, or city law.
This includes, but is not limited to, copyrighted material, threatening or obscene material, or material that constitutes an invasion of privacy.
The user agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Rowan Cloud from any claims resulting from their use of the service that causes damage to them or any other party.
Prohibited content includes any material promoting illegal activities or causing harm to Rowan Cloud servers or any other server on the Internet. This encompasses, but is not limited to:
The following are strictly prohibited: pirated software, hacker programs or archives, Warez sites, illegal content of any kind, content that facilitates criminal activity, and any material that infringes third-party intellectual property rights.
Accounts found hosting prohibited content will be suspended immediately without prior notice.
Rowan Cloud reserves the right to immediately terminate any account found to contain illegal activity or material that violates these Terms of Service, without advance notice and without refund.
All account plans include a predetermined disk allowance as specified at the time of purchase.
Overage charges: Users exceeding their included disk allocation will be billed at £1.00 per gigabyte per month for the excess usage.
Where plans include "Unlimited" features (such as bandwidth or email accounts), these are subject to our Fair Usage Policy. "Unlimited" is intended to support the running of a standard, publicly available website — not for bulk data distribution, file hosting services, or applications designed to consume disproportionate server resources.
Rowan Cloud reserves the right to throttle or limit accounts that consume resources in a manner inconsistent with normal hosting usage.
IRC (Internet Relay Chat) servers and IRC bots are not permitted on any Rowan Cloud shared hosting or reseller servers. IRC services are available on VPS plans with root access, subject to compliance with all other terms.
Any attempt to undermine or cause harm to Rowan Cloud servers or any other server on the Internet is strictly prohibited. This includes but is not limited to DoS/DDoS attacks, port scanning, vulnerability exploitation, and unauthorised access attempts.
Accounts found engaging in server abuse will be cancelled immediately without refund. Where appropriate, Rowan Cloud will report abusive activity to relevant law enforcement authorities.
Rowan Cloud reserves the right to refuse, cancel, or suspend service to any individual or organisation at its sole discretion, with or without cause, and with or without notice.
Payment is due by the date specified on each invoice. Where an invoice is not paid by the due date, Rowan Cloud may suspend or terminate the associated services without further notice.
Clients are responsible for ensuring their payment details are up to date in the client area to avoid service interruptions.
Clients remain responsible for any outstanding fees upon the termination of their account, regardless of the reason for termination. Outstanding balances may be referred to a debt collection agency.
New customers are entitled to a 30-day money-back guarantee on web hosting plans. If you are not satisfied within the first 30 days, contact our support team for a full refund.
Non-refundable items: Domain registrations, SSL certificates, and dedicated server fees are non-refundable under any circumstances.
Account reactivation fee: Accounts deactivated due to non-payment that are subsequently reactivated incur a £20.00 reactivation fee.
Accounts deactivated due to non-payment will require a £20.00 reactivation fee before the account is restored. Rowan Cloud is not responsible for any data loss that may occur during the deactivation period.
Deactivated accounts are retained for a period of 14 days, after which all account data may be permanently deleted.
No partial refunds are provided for unused portions of monthly billing cycles. Services are provided for the full term of the billing period in which they are cancelled.
Dedicated server services require a minimum of 30 days' written notice for cancellation. Cancellations submitted with less than 30 days' notice will be charged for the following billing period.
